Program Supervisor- Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care

St. David’s Center serves as one of two Foster Care Providers to provide evidence based Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care (MTFC) Services in the State of Minnesota.  We are looking for a Program Supervisor to lead this innovative program. This position provides the opportunity to:

  • Actualize leading-edge, successful foster care programming
  • Positively impact children with serious behavior problems and their families
  • Facilitate weekly clinical team meetings and collaborate with other professionals and the community

The Program Supervisor is responsible for program management of the Multi-Dimensional Treatment Foster Care program, providing services to children with mental health diagnoses, ages 6 to 11.  Management responsibilities includes leadership of the treatment team, overseeing the referral and intake of new clients, developing and directing treatment plans, clinical oversight and supervision of services, supervision/training of program staff, and teaming with other programs and community resources serving the child and family.  Other responsibilities include supervision and oversight of children placed in foster care homes and maintaining contact with Foster Providers.  This position reports to the Director of Foster Care Programs.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and licensed as a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP)
  • 3-5 years of post-Master’s experience preferred with clinical experience working with children and youth with serious emotional and behavioral problems
  • Experience with foster care systems and services
  • Experience working with at-risk families and home visiting preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of family systems, child development, developmental psychopathology, attachment theory, child abuse, neglect, and trauma
  • Knowledge of strategies for working with at-risk populations
  • Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of insurance billing
  • Must have the ability to partner with families and community providers
  • Flexibility to be available to respond to children’s crisis

Mental Health Professional – Autism Day Treatment – Full Time

At St. David’s Center, our mission is to build relationships that nurture the development of every child and family.  Based in the Twin Cities West Metro, we serve more than 2,500 children, adults and families each year.

St. David’s Center’s Autism Day Treatment (ADT) program takes an integrated approach to treating challenges associated with ASD, including difficulties with social interaction, communication, sensory processing and self-regulation, and creates a tailored plan to meet each child’s individual needs. We are currently looking for a Mental Health Professional. This position offers:

The Mental Health Professional will provide mental health therapy and day treatment services in the Autism Day Treatment Program.  He or she will provide psychological evaluations/testing for ASD as well as other psychological evaluations/testing for children and participate in the development and implementation of expanded program services as requested.

The position requires a desire to work on a multi-disciplinary team and supervise mental health practitioners and graduate level interns.

The start date for this position will be June 11, 2012.  Application deadline:  April 27, 2012. .   40 hours per week and fully benefit eligible.

Qualifications:

  • Must be licensed in a mental health field (LMFT, LP, LPCC, LICSW)
  • Must be credential-eligible with insurance companies.
  • Previous experience working with children on the Autism spectrum and early childhood development is required.

Program Director, ECMHO/Outpatient Mental Health

The Program Director is responsible for the leadership and ongoing development of ECMHO/OPMH services.  This includes providing leadership to the staff and supporting the staff in meeting the needs of program participants.  The Director provides vision to the program, evaluates the program model, ensures financial objectives are met and responds to the changing needs of the community.

  • Implement and lead program model for service delivery
  • Provide budget development and management, ensuring the program is meeting financial goals.
  • Assess and develop opportunities for program expansion to other service sites.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation of strategic plan
  • Spend 10-12 hours per week in direct client service
  • Actively participate on community collaboratives, committees, work groups and educational opportunities that support and promote the work of ECMHO/OPMH and St. David’s Center.
  • Develop leadership capacity in other staff.
  • Work with Development staff to ensure appropriate applications, implementation and outcome reporting processes for all contracted and contributed revenues.
  • Supervise and/or oversee the supervision of all program staff
  • Oversee systems for documentation of service delivery and other participant related information.

 Job Qualifications

 Education:           Master’s Degree in Social Work (preferred), Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology; license to provide mental health services independently; and ability to be credentialed as a mental health provider with all third party payers.

Experience:         At least 7 years of successful leadership experience in area of expertise.

Knowledge:         Knowledge of parent/child attachment, early childhood and general mental health, reflective practice models, early childhood education, program management, people management, community partnerships and resources.

Skills:                   High level of communication skills, ability to build and sustain quality staff teams and programs and demonstrated ability to embrace organizational mission and vision

Speech-Language Pathologist – Full time

Job Summary 

Responsible for the evaluation, intervention planning, implementation of treatment and parent consultation and documentation regarding child’s progress.  The therapist consults with related individuals to coordinate therapy services or recommend initiation of  services, offer resources, and maximize EACH child’s potential for positive outcomes.

  • Conducts initial evaluations and document evaluation results. Plan, initiate and revise treatment plan specific to child’s need and service model. Update treatment plans as directed by supervisor.
  •  Complete all documentation, correspondence, observation/screening requests, parent/teacher/community provider follow-up in a timely manner.
  •  Maintain a caseload with a minimum of 70% scheduled productivity within the outpatient clinic.
  •  Maintain MN DHS and Licensure for SLP’s by attending and independently tracking and submitting continuing education credits to appropriate governing board.
  •  Serve on internal committees and/or present internal or external presentations educating others, as assigned by supervisor
  •  Supervise students or Clinical Fellow candidates as assigned by supervisor.

 

Job Qualifications

Education/Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competence.   Clinical Fellow Candidates with Temporary DHS Registration Numbers are considered on case by case basis.

Experience: Minimum of 9 months of experience with Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association preferred.

Knowledge: Overall solid understanding of all pediatric speech-language deficits or availability and creativity to access resources when needed to understand pediatric disorder.

Understanding of the various payer sources with their specific documentation requirements and prior authorization procedures.

Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with parental concerns.

Autism Support Services Practitioner – MINNEAPOLIS & WESTERN SUBURBS

INTERNSHIP/ PRACTICUM Opportunity

Position: Autism Day Treatment Internship, 20 hours per week
Department: Autism Support Services

The Autism Day Treatment interns are a critical part of our team!  This exciting opportunity will provide therapeutic interventions for preschool children with autism in a multidisciplinary day treatment setting.  Interns are involved in hands on work within the treatment room.  The internship will also include opportunities to provide in-home family services to children in the day treatment program. Supervision provided by MA, LP.

Time Commitment:  9 month internship, 20 hours per week

Supervision: will be provided with a licensed mental health professional in accordance with school requirements.  In addition, once a month group supervision is provided, which is a group discussion and learning environment.

Training is provided prior to start.

Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a Master’s  program in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or closely related field.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Preference given to candidates with experience working with young children or children with special needs.
