Restraint and Seclusion Survey

Restraint and Seclusion Survey

MDLC and other advocacy groups have been following the new Restraint and Seclusion (restrictive procedures) in schools law closely.    We’re concerned that the use of these procedures (especially with prone restraint) is increasing and want to find out from parents what their experiences have been.  We’ve learned from the dep’t of ed that there have been over 300 uses of prone restraint in about 3.5 months, and the largest disability categories of those put into prone restraint are EBD and ASD.
We’ve put together a survey for parents that we’re planning on putting on our websites and outreach materials.  Would you been interested and willing to do the same?
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to talk about this further.
Here’s the link to the survey:
Thank you,
