What Happens Next: Choices Have
Consequences
Mission Objective To choose the actions that will safely stop bullying behavior. Confidential Information Briefing Captain In Control and Big Bad Bully
have known each other for years but have never been friends. Always heads and shoulders above the crowd,
Big Bad Bully could make Captain In Control run the other way with just a
threatening glance. Captain In
Control has tried fighting back (but he usually got punished for hitting), he
has tried running way (but he was chased again the next day), and he has
tried giving in (but this made him feel like a victim). Captain In Control has learned that
it’s natural to feel angry and frustrated when being bullied, but he’s also
learned that acting out in anger isn’t the best way to deal with a
bully. For example, if someone is
being bullied and they just want a bully to stop hurting them, hitting back
is certainly one option. But it is probably not the best option. The bully may stop, but come back later -
angrier and stronger.
