Six 2-hour sessions

Do you supervise professionals who work with infants, young children and their families?
Are you providing Reflective Consultation? Have you been looking for an opportunity to receive and experience Reflective Support around your work?

MACMH’s Infant and Early Childhood Division is now offering online reflective practice groups for professionals in the infant and family field. Whether you are planning on applying for IMH-Endorsement or are solely looking for Reflective Support in your work, this learning experience is for you.

What you can expect:

  • A consistent, small group of no more than 6 members.
  • 2 hours of monthly reflective practice support for 6 months
  • Participants will gain 12 hours of Reflective Practice, which can be applied towards IMH Endorsement.
  • All Reflective Consultants leading the groups have earned the MACMH Infant & Early Childhood Endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Specialist at Level III or an IMH Mentor (Clinical) at Level IV
  • A regular time and place to meet in the virtual world. Our Reflective Consultants will be using the online platform Zoom. Participants will be sent an e-mail invitation to join.
  • Opportunity to apply the MACMH Infant & Early Childhood IMH Competencies to promote the supervisee’s professional development in the infant-early childhood-family field.
  • Respectful space where each supervisee’s pace/readiness to learn is supported.
  • Encouraging space for exploration of thoughts and feelings that the supervisee has about the experience of supervision as well as how that experience might influence his/her work.
  • Increased awareness of the feelings experienced in response to one’s work and in the presence of an infant or very young child and parent(s)/caregivers.
  • Shared exploration of the parallel process.  That is, attention to all of the important relationships, including the relationships between practitioner and supervisor, between practitioner and parent, and between parent and infant/toddler.
