LGBTQ+ Musical

Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health is seeking LGBTQ+ teens who can work collaboratively with musical theatre professionals to create a performance of queer fairy tales that raise awareness about anxiety, depression, and trauma. 

Be A Part of Writing the Show

Now accepting applications for LGBTQ+ teen playwrights, composers and lyricists. The creative team will meet on Saturdays afternoons from October 5 – November 23 as well as Tuesday evenings in November. Artists will be paid a stipend. Application Deadline: Tuesday, October 1

Be A Part of Performing the Show

A cast of 10 LGBTQ+ teen actors will perform the show 10 times at locations throughout the Twin Cities. Rehearsals will run January 12 – February 2, 2020. Performances will run February 2 – 29, 2020. Actors will be paid a stipend. Please check back in October for audition dates.

Host a performance

Are you a part of an organization or group that might be interested in hosting a performance?

Performances will run February 2 – 29, 2020. Locations must be within the Twin Cities. Performances may not be in schools during the regular school day. We do not charge a performance fee, but we ask that hosting organizations provide free space for us to perform.
